On the fret board – that you could darn-near him playing heavy metal! ? ! – being right-in the guitar zone, and masterfully channeling the stratospheric forces, that almost only Garcia could. So go and listen to say… The Barcelona Show that closed this Tour — there you go – now do you see what I mean? Train down the track… And too, as for the’design’ on this Shirt — proper-props directly to The Mouse! — with a Skull & Roses Sand & Bones design made specifically the Band’s 1981 European Tour!!! Grateful Dead Shirt : Vintage 1982 : Stanley Mouse Art Design! Tour Sportswear : Large (L) : Very-Rare!!! The Grateful Dead Stanley Mouse Studios Rock Art’ Masterpiece! & Stanley Mouse Art Fans!!! This ” Quintessential ” Mouse Art Design Grateful Dead logo as much as me? I don’t know just what it is exactly… But I have been completely-drawn to this image since I was a youngster! And pretty-much in a Trance! I started seeing Dead Shows when I was 15… And kept on going & going all I could – all the way to the very-end. And this I remember – because I could never-ever forget… Somewhere between 15 & 16 – I found this image, maybe at a Show? Or, in a Book – possibly?? But, as soon as I found it – it truly inspired me… Curiosity & all – and it really became my Grateful Dead image that I loved the very-best. I don’t even think that I knew originally that it was by Mouse? Well, I certainly learned of this real-shortly thereafter… And that led to more, and more & more! But, initially & originally – this really was ” The One ” for me… And I have always felt that way. And whenever I see it – I Smile! And my point being, that’s what the Best of the Best! In Rock Art, and especially G. Art can & will do… & especially by the Mouses! These designs work on you – from the very start… And they can truly find their way into your mind – sometimes right away, and other times it can take a little while. But when they do get you really good – then they belong to you, and you belong to them. Just like the great Ken Kesey once said It’s like a Trade-Off! And, I sure hope you get that reference. Well, this beauty here is a piece among pieces. And, if this one doesn’t go as far as ” Inspiring ” you, like it has me… You will still be personally responsible for delivering some serious… When fellow Grateful Dead – Mouse – & Rock & Roll Fans! Good Ol’ Grateful Dead – Vintage-Classic!!!! & Mouse / Kelley Fans!! Offered here is a Legendary!!! As for this one, the term Legendary itself is almost an understatement – as the photos provided, do a fantastic job of telling the tale on this one… On the front side of this Vintage-Original (Genuine / Authentic) 1982 Beauty! Of a Dead Shirt… You have the Grateful Dead ” Skull & Crossbones ” image – Bright & Bold! By the one & only Rick Griffin! I believe this image made its very-first’ inaugural’ debut on the the Grateful Dead’s 15-Year Anniversary Program, when at that time – it was also featured on T-Shirts, most of which or maybe all? I believe were T-Shirts of the ” short-sleeve ” design/style. And on the back… The Stanley Mouse & Alton Kelley image from the 1978 Poster / Handbill / Shirt Masterpiece… The image known as the Blue Rose! The debut of this Amazing & Quintessential G. Design was in celebration of the Grateful Dead’s Closing of the Winterland on New Year’s Eve 1978-79. And this Shirt here? & Rock’n Roll Shirt-World, as this 1982 printing combined Both! Of these Giant G. On the perfect two-tone, 3/4 sleeve’ Jersey-Shirt’ which is just a fantastic symbol, of the sign of the styles & times. A wonderful’ grey’ color on the body to most-effectively catapult these more than eye-catching artistic images. And as for the Sleeves? Well, that’s where this Shirt here – in Excellent! Condition, may I add — becomes an extreme rarity… As a majority of these’82 Shirts that were made had the same’ grey’ body – but had’ black’ sleeves. Where has this one? Take a close look – and you will see that the sleeves are a perfect-shade of’ Navy-Blue’!!! I suppose the original manufacturers intent was to make this shirt with’ black’ sleeves (to highlight & match the Griffin image) – and also with’ blue’ sleeves (to highlight & match the Mouse / Kelley image). Who knows what the original quantities might have been… But as the sands of time have passes through the hour-glass – over 40-Years Old Now! – the’ black-sleeve’ version is seen, and seems to surface – where on the other hand? You just do not seen this’ navy blue’ sleeved version. This Shirt is just a truly-Amazing! One, in that you are basically able to wear two 2! Of Rock’n Roll’s and The Grateful Dead’s most Quintessential! – & Grateful Dead!!! Of a Vintage-Original 1982 Shirt, and wear it with pride – as this one will deliver both the Compliments! Too – even from Both-Sides!!! This is a Lightly Barely! Tag Size / Brand : X Large (XL) / The tag has been cleanly removed (without any damage to the shirt material fabric, or seams) and the measurements correspond directly to the tag size ” X Large ” from this 1982 era (3/4 Sleeve Shirt). As this is a lightly used, and very well taken care of shirt – here are the only issues that stand out to my eye upon very close inspection. >>> bleach marks on the end of the front left arm sleeve (please see photos). >>> a few assorted tiny marks/stains (please see photos). >>> the tag has been removed’cleanly’ with no damage to the shirt material, or the seams (please see photos).
