And, I sure do agree – that it is up there. But, being that this still is America & all – a land where everyone is entitled to their own opinion – even if it is in the great ” minority “… And so, here – with no Furthur adieu – here’s mine… On 8/28/82 (nearly 10-years to the date, of the 8/27/82 Show)… And yes, by Hotter!! I mean – let’s put it this way… In’72 the Strat! Got a little bit of mercy (here & there) – but, in’82… And, quite frankly – I’ve ” outgrabbed ” my 8/28/82 Tapes a near 2-to-1 in ratio since having them both in my possession from way-back in the Late’80’s As from the late Set I China > Rider! This-Show is just flat-out Magical!! For that Other One!!! I’d even go as far as calling this Show a ” Top 5 ” of All! It’s just So-Nasty! – and the Boys are simply unwilling to not make this one count — Big-Time!!! The Grateful Dead’s Second Decadenal!! To the Magnificent & Glorious! Grateful Dead Shirt : Vintage Original : 1994 : Summer Tour’94! Smoking Top Hat Skeleton!! It’s Worth The Trip -’94!!! : Lot Shirt : XX Large (XXL) : Very-Rare!!! Uncle Sam Skeleton Grinnin’! On this one – in full-on Deadhead Tuxedo regalia!! & with a Rose!!! Fall in all Dead Tour! Veterans, because here it is! ” The ” – ” It’s Worth The Trip ” Smokin’ Uncle Sam Shirt!!! So, if you were on tour in the Late-80’s & Early-90’s, you might be well aware that this Legendary ” lot shirt ” hit the scene for the 1st time during the 1987 Spring / Summer Tours – but then it seemed to magically disappear. Still seen on the backs of proud Deadheads, naturally… But strangely not available for sale? ! ? Well, you know – it happens. However, once’94 rolled around – Yes! This one made the long-awaited ” return ” to the parking lots – due to’ popular demand’, or at least I would think so. To my knowledge, this was not only the official return, but it was also the’ debut’ of the ” Summer 1994 ” version created – to a whole new generation of Dead Fans. Well – Old & New, of course. This one hit the scene for the’94 Summer Tour, and then again I believe only one-more-time – which was the’94 Fall version (with ” Santa-Jerry ” on the back) for the’94 Winter Tour… Which was West Coast only. Point being – this is now Your chance for a true piece of Dead Fan T-Shirt Art Lot Style! You just don’t seen too many of these around over the last two (2) decades, and this one is in fantastic shape, with consideration of its age. In my personal opinion – and for what that’s worth… You really can’t beat the ” Smokin’ Sam ” graphic on the front of this one, and on the back… Well, it speaks for itself – featuring All of the Tour Dates from the fabulous Grateful Dead 1994 Summer Tour!!!!! Rare Vintage Grateful Dead T Shirt from 1979 titled What A Long Strange Trip It’s Been 1965 – 1979. All print on the tag has completely faded. My guess is a size Medium. Has 3/4 blue sleeve and white torso. Overall in good condition. Has some light yellow staining on the lower front 1/3 of the shirt below the graphics. There is a small brown staining on under Dead. Fabric is thin. A two inch portion of one of the stitches on the collar is missing. Graphics look very good for the age.
