Vintage Original Lithuania basketball 1992 Olympics Grateful Dead Shirt rare White version. Fruit of the Loom BRANDED. New without tags has been in storage for 20+ years! Never worn, never washed. The story behind it: the skull man on This shirt was worn by the Lithuania Basketball Team on the medal stand after winning the 1992 bronze medal in Olympic basketball. The Grateful Dead sent them a check and a bunch of these shirts after hard times in their country. An amazing story and a real piece of Grateful Dead and Lithuanian Basketball History. Previous owner had a head shop in the 90s and this is from his estate in Pittsfield, MA (the famous Pal Joey). This is not a reproduction as you can see on the basketball to tell the difference between the original and recent reproductions. Please see all photos provided… Please Note : As mentioned above, please note the significant soiling/staining on this shirt. As with all of my vintage-collectible shirts that are not “Brand New”, I wash each shirt one (1) time when it is removed from the storage bin it has been sitting in for years – and in most cases… After washing this shirt carefully & gently… The staining/soiling remained, somewhat to my surprise. Because I do not want to damage/wear the design images on this shirt, I will sell it as is. Please take a very close look at all of the photos provided, so you can closely see the issues mentioned. With additional washing, this soiling/staining mentioned may, or may not come out – but in my opinion, it does appear permanent. Nonetheless, because of the extreme-rarity of this “plain-white-shirt”’92 version – I still want to offer this item – as my assumption is that many T-Shirt Collectors out there may have been seeking this rare’white’ version for a long-long time, possibly close to 20-years.
