And, I even saw Weir wearing a Celtics ” Rondo ” Jersey one time at a Ratdog Show on-stage! – but, at least to my knowledge… I think all of the other Boys in the Band even including Bobby too? As we all know what both! The Celtics & Lakers did for the NBA! I mean talk about Larry & Magic!! It kind of even makes me wonder if Larry Bird owns one of these Shirts, because we all know that Good Ol’ Bill Walton has-one – and heck, he might have even have gone ahead and bought two of them… So he could give one to Larry! I bet ” The Chief ” might wear one of these, and likely’ mailed’ from ” Oregon ” too! Hail to The Chief!!! And, this leads me to my final story about just how Rabid of a Fan! That a Celtics Fan can be… As back in 2004 I read an article from the Bloomberg News Service titled ” Zeal for Bird pushes jail term to 33 years ” — and basically… A 27-year old man demanded’ extra’ prison term time because he wanted to honor his basketball team & hero… This is a real-story, and no-joke! As Eric James Torpy reached a plea agreement with Oklahoma City prosecutors for a 30-year jail term on two charges of shooting with the intent to kill, and one count on a weapons violation. Torpy then insisted on getting ” 33 ” Years! Because he wanted to ” match the uniform number Bird wore when he led the Boston Celtics to three NBA championships during the 1980’s ” – and… The Judge’ accommodated’ his request! Torphy said that Larry Bird was his long-time hero, and that if he was going to go to prison… Then he wanted to go-down with that number! Can you believe it?? I was so thrown back by this-one, that I even clipped the news story and put it inside my Dick’s Picks 17 Set!
