Probably best-described in’ short’ & in modern Dead Fan language as… ” Sunshine Daydream – Part II “!! And, as far as long-described goes? Well, trust me as I could go on All-Day! This was the long-waited ” Return ” of The Grateful Dead! To Veneta from the Legendary! 8/27/72 Veneta, Oregon Show… Some do feel that 8/27/72 was one-of, if not simply ” The ” most-important Dead Shows in the Band’s entire History! And, I sure do agree – that it is up there. But, being that this still is America & all – a land where everyone is entitled to their own opinion – even if it is in the great ” minority “… And so, here – with no Furthur adieu – here’s mine… On 8/28/82 (nearly 10-years to the date, of the 8/27/82 Show)… And yes, by Hotter!! I mean – let’s put it this way… In’72 the Strat! Got a little bit of mercy (here & there) – but, in’82… And, quite frankly – I’ve ” outgrabbed ” my 8/28/82 Tapes a near 2-to-1 in ratio since having them both in my possession from way-back in the Late’80’s As from the late Set I China > Rider! This-Show is just flat-out Magical!! For that Other One!!! I’d even go as far as calling this Show a ” Top 5 ” of All! It’s just So-Nasty! – and the Boys are simply unwilling to not make this one count — Big-Time!!! The Grateful Dead’s Second Decadenal!! To the Magnificent & Glorious! Oregon Country Fairgrounds on 8/28/82!!! So, in other words – go grab Your! And load-up this Intense & Magical! & You tell Me!! If you know the Magical ” Oregon Country Fair ” Fairgrounds! Know where I’m coming from on the sheer Magic! Of this Dead Show! As you bet that this-one has roamed through those Magical Woods! – at least on this Planet!!! And, as it totally goes without saying – but, which should still be clearly stated… This David Lundquist ” Eagle Eye Studios ” Art Design! Was, is & will always be… One of his Very-Best! If really, not just his Best! As Lundquist did indeed do some Grate! Ones for the Dead in the Early-’80’s Era – but, for years & years… This-one has always been my own personal favorite.
