As for this one, the term Legendary itself is almost an understatement – as the photos provided, do a fantastic job of telling the tale on this one… On the front side of this Vintage-Original (Genuine / Authentic) 1982 Beauty! Of a Dead Shirt… You have the Grateful Dead ” Skull & Crossbones ” image – Bright & Bold! By the one & only Rick Griffin! I believe this image made its very-first’ inaugural’ debut on the the Grateful Dead’s 15-Year Anniversary Program, when at that time – it was also featured on T-Shirts, most of which or maybe all? I believe were T-Shirts of the ” short-sleeve ” design/style. And on the back… The Stanley Mouse & Alton Kelley image from the 1978 Poster / Handbill / Shirt Masterpiece… The image known as the Blue Rose! The debut of this Amazing & Quintessential G. Design was in celebration of the Grateful Dead’s Closing of the Winterland on New Year’s Eve 1978-79. And this Shirt here? & Rock’n Roll Shirt-World, as this 1982 printing combined Both! Of these Giant G. On the perfect two-tone, 3/4 sleeve’ Jersey-Shirt’ which is just a fantastic symbol, of the sign of the styles & times. A wonderful’ grey’ color on the body to most-effectively catapult these more than eye-catching artistic images. And as for the Sleeves? Well, that’s where this Shirt here – in Excellent! Condition, may I add — becomes an extreme rarity… As a majority of these’82 Shirts that were made had the same’ grey’ body – but had’ black’ sleeves. Where has this one? Take a close look – and you will see that the sleeves are a perfect-shade of’ Navy-Blue’!!! I suppose the original manufacturers intent was to make this shirt with’ black’ sleeves (to highlight & match the Griffin image) – and also with’ blue’ sleeves (to highlight & match the Mouse / Kelley image). Who knows what the original quantities might have been… But as the sands of time have passes through the hour-glass – close to 45-Years Old Now! – the’ black-sleeve’ version is seen, and seems to surface – where on the other hand? You just do not seen this’ navy blue’ sleeved version. This Shirt is just a truly-Amazing! One, in that you are basically able to wear two 2! Of Rock’n Roll’s and The Grateful Dead’s most Quintessential! – & Grateful Dead!!! Of a Vintage-Original 1982 Shirt, and wear it with pride – as this one will deliver both the Compliments! Too – even from Both-Sides!!! This is a Lightly Barely! Tag Size / Brand : X Large (XL) / The tag has been cleanly removed (without any damage to the shirt material fabric, or seams) and the measurements correspond directly to the tag size ” X Large ” from this 1982 era (3/4 Sleeve Shirt). As this is a lightly used, and very well taken care of shirt – here are the only issues that stand out to my eye upon very close inspection. >>> bleach marks on the end of the front left arm sleeve (please see photos). >>> a few assorted tiny marks/stains (please see photos). >>> the tag has been removed’cleanly’ with no damage to the shirt material, or the seams (please see photos).
