Jerry Garcia / Grateful Dead Captain Trips!!! Shirt issued by the J. Or, as it looks here like I should more properly say — Fans of Captain Trips!!! This Dead Shirt here? It says it All!!! A Happy, Young, and clearly Fiery — yet still Peaceful! Jerry Garcia Photo-Image – one of the Classics! Captured way-back in 1967 – close to 60-Years-Ago! And a Full 30-Years! Of Good Ol’ Live Grateful Dead!!! And, as we all well-know – the Spirit! Is still very much Alive! Today, and I’m not really sure there is any Dead Shirt out there that can do any better of a job of showing it! Just a ripe & ready to rock — 25-Years Old Young! And, as the photos well show… I’m not kidding about the’ Peaceful’ thing either, as there is even a little Peace Sign! Used to dot the eye on Captain Trips!! – on this Killer! I mean this is one of the one’s to Have! Yes indeed, as I do declare the ” Captain Trips ” Shirt as a’ Must-Have! For the Grateful Dead Fan Faithful!! I mean hey, let’s face it… Just how many of the Smiles!!! Will this one draw? ! ? Or, should I say’ Earn’! – because it will indeed be You! That is keeping that Summer of’67 Spirit Alive!! Without any question, one of the Modern & Post-’95 G. Tag Size / Brand : The Shirt Size-Tag has been cleanly removed without any damage to shirt material, or seams – the exact measurements correspond directly to size Large (L) from the Mid-2000’s Liquid Blue Shirt Era. I mean hey, after all… What a fine & fitting Tribute! For all to be kindly reminded of… Right in the midst of the Red-Hot! Grateful Dead 1990 Spring & Summer Tours! Which is, exactly when this magical Dead Shirt was officially released by GDM for Dead Fans to Capture! I mean you betcha there are double-stashes on Both! & Mick – as after all… This is’74 that we are talking about. Though, Billy did continue to hold up that Rock tradition in excellent fashion over the years… And, speaking of facial hair – you’ll also notice that there is none on Jerry! Bobby & Phil Rocking some serious Smiles! & my oh my… As just look at this Image! Huge, and just completely awesome… Even with a ” Complete ” image on the lower edge of the design image emblem. 1974 was a Grate! Year for me, as that I can guarantee you… If for some reason you are ” curious ” on the 24,000 watts ” RMS ” – well, I can most certainly share this ” audiophile lingo ” with you too = ” Root Mean Square “. And, even better put for the Wall Of Sound… Clarity and Power really… Led by the one & only Jerry Garcia!!! This thing might have been quite the Bear to move around from Show to Show… But, just another way to show how much this-Band Loved! And, no questions required obviously on the Shirt back side… With XXV clearly meaning ” Twenty Five Years ” of Live! Good Ol’ Grateful Dead Rock & Roll!!! Wow, and just to even think how well the Band were playing when this Shirt was released, right in the midst of that 1989-90 G. Classic without any question at all… Tag Size / Brand : Large (L) / Oneita Power Tee 100% Cotton Pre-shrunk / Made in U. Pit to Pit = 20″ Length = 27.5″. This shirt is in good condition with some flaws, including stains, as shown in photos. It’s brand is Fruit of the Loom. The shirt is 100% cotton. I acquired this shirt from a private collector who had stored it in a sealed container for many years. Since getting this shirt, I have also stored it in a sealed container. And, if you’re are one of those out there that really-knows your Vintage Dead Tees hopefully so! – then, you will also know that a similar-version of this Shirt circulated the 1994 Tour – but, if my mind serves me correctly… The colors on the’ front’ design were in Rainbow-Colors? ! And, it didn’t look quite as this’95 version – with the straight-up Black! In true Garcia style!! And, if you dig the front design on this Tee which, I’m sure you do… Then check-out the back! Of the 1995 Summer Tour dates are present on this one – both East Coast / Midwest & West Coast too! The Bright Colors & Design of this piece of Art are just Spectacular! — in the form of a Rose!!! Plus, I love the font – so classic… & so Early / Mid-’90’s too! As, these were indeed the days that most people still didn’t even have a Computer! Or, if they did… It didn’t work too cool – and, was anything-but user friendly! So, when I see a killer graphic like this… I just like to give props! This is NOT one of those new reproductions, it is vintage. This is a vintage t shirt entitled, “Grateful Dead”. Assumed to be a concert tour shirt, but uncertain. Vintage unknown, I’ve had this since the 1980’s. Nice banded sleeves and “V” neck as shown. Tag reads: Sportswear, Made in U. Shirt is single-stitched to establish its vintage. A terrific item for the fan or collector. Tagged a size Medium. Measurement from pit to pit is 17. Front collar to hem is 21 1/2. Condition is near new. No holes, stains, thread pulls or fading.
