This is a true vintage Grateful Dead t-shirt from the 1970s or 80s! Features a graphic of Bertha from the album on the back and a small skull & crossbones with heart & roses on the front upper left placement. Mostly black tshirt with a white V-neckline and striped ringer sleeves. Super soft, probably unworn/unwashed but cannot verify that. Made in the USA from a 50/50 cotton/poly blend. Adult size Medium, but keep in mind that shirts were often a slimmer fit 40-50 yrs ago. Also, the stripes around the arms do not stretch very much, which is why I added that measurement to the photos. This is a rare and hard-to-find shirt! Perfect for collectors of Grateful Dead and/or vintage grunge rock clothing! Please look closely at each photo as they are considered part of the description. I take great care in packaging so that my items make it safely to their new homes! I also use recycled &/or biodegradable materials whenever possible to reduce my carbon footprint.

Without question, this is one of those ” Yep, I Need That One “… I’ll never forget the first time that I saw this Amazing! Design surface, as it was inside the pavilion at Shoreline!! And it was the guy sitting 1-Row between me & Bill Walton that was wearing it! ? ! Quite easy to remember that day, for all reasons obvious… But seriously, I was like – Whoa?? ! Where did you get that… And he was like – nowhere super special man, just at the Merch. You can imagine what it was like seeing this clever G. Beauty for the very 1st time… I mean check out the photos! It features a wonderfully creative 9-part segment inside a’ Grid’ that shows the Prehistoric > Modern Evolution of the Bertha! Skull & Roses itself! And as far as I’m concerned… It’s a True Story! I mean it’s all Black & White in this scene too – until Bertha arrives Evolves! Wearing a Blue Ribbon with Red Roses in her Hair! Written in what looks like kind of a Bone-like font… And on the back side… The’ Complete’ Evolution of the Bertha Skeleton! Evolving into what looks like Dancin’ at a Dead Show!! Well, that seems to me to just be about right! Possibly during a mean & nasty China > Rider!!! I mean check it out, as this is a full-on 4-legged to 2-legged Evolution here – obviously going Way-Back! You bet — What A Long Strange trip It’s Been!!! And above, a Very-Cool!
