Wake Of The Flood!!! : Tie Dye : 1992 Grateful Dead Merchandising, Inc. / Liquid Blue (GDM / LB) :’92 Tour-Issue! Grateful Dead Chicago’ Windy City’ Surfing Shirt! For the Soldier Field Shows!! In Chicago, IL – Proud Home of the Chicago Bears!!! Wake Of The Flood!!!!! And Surf Fans too!! Skeleton Surfer skillfully riding a Wave right through the middle of Downtown Chicago, Illinois – right inside the Windy-City! Wake Of The Flood! With even some G. Dancin’ Bears too – Smiling afloat in some Boats! And what Great Shows too – and Especially! Night # 1 with the Legendary! James Cotton coming out and driving the Blues! What a Great 1992 Summer Tour all through & through, in fact. I did 10 straight dates on this’92 Summer Tour, and would have to say that this 6/25 Show here in Chi-Town was without any question at all… One of the Very-Best!! Chicago’s very own James Cotton – and even Steve Miller too! Delivering the Chicago-Blues sound, right alongside of the Good Ol’ Grateful Dead!!! This led to Smokin’-Hot versions of Good Morning Little School Girl!! I saw the Charlotte > RFK > Star Lake > Chicago!! > Deer Creek > & Buckeye Lake Shows! – and I’m pretty certain that this Shirt design was the only! ” Venue-Specific ” Shirt done for this whole Tour run? ! ? Well, I can only speak for the 10 Shows I saw, and the lots & venues that I traveled through Blissfully! But, there definitely wasn’t a Venue-Specific Shirt designed for RFK, and really… That was the only other’ Stadium’ date that I saw – maybe at Giants? I never have seen it. And, usually in this Early-’90’s G. Era – it was only the ” Big-Capacity ” Shows & Show-Runs that a’ Special’ Venue Shirt was designed for. And, luckily for Chicago, for Soldier Field the Proud! Home of the Monsters of the Midway… For the all the lucky Deadheads! Chris Pinkerton design was born & delivered! Just check out the Photos, for certain… Is Creative with a capital ” C ” Go Bears! – and Awesome with a capital A!!! The front of the Shirt features a Massive & Colorful! Design of a Surfing-Skeleton! Riding a Wave straight through the’ Windy City’ Downtown of Chicago! With Smiling Dancing Bears paddling alongside in Drift Boats! And, on the back of this Tie-Dyed beauty, it says ” Wake Of The Flood ” with two Dancin’ Bears in a row-boat’ Running a Red-Light’ right inside the City on a Gushing Wave!!! And, of course too – printed proudly & loudly! Chicago – Soldier Field – June 25 & 26, 1992!!! As it’s real safe to say that they just don’t make them’ quite’ like this anymore… Grateful Dead & ” Chicago ” Classic!!! Pit-to-Pit = 22″ Length = 29″ As this is a lightly used shirt – here are the only issues that stand out to my eye upon very close inspection : >>> some very slight cracking of the designs images, mostly on the backside of shirt (please see photos/close-up photos). >>> some light fading of the design images (please see photos/close-up photos). >>> some light pilling on the arms and side areas of the shirt (please see photos/close-up photos). >>> some very-light fading of the shirt material dyes (please see photos/close-up photos). Which definitely helped-out with trying to deliver Loyal Dead Fans a Smile! ” in the so-difficult ” Post-’95 (Post Garcia) Era. Series of these Shirts – some Plain, and some Tie-Dyed! During the Mid/Late’90’s Era (1996 through 1999) delivering the ” Forever Grateful / Forever Dead 1965 – 1995 ” Lightning Bolt! Logo on the chest / pocket area… With each Shirt issued having an Incredibly-Clever! Photogenic Image on the Shirt Back! And, in the case of this Rare! The kind theme at hand was quite Awesome! And straight to the point! And, as the photos well-show – this isn’t any type of ” Dancin’ In The Street ” scene here – as this is full-on Deadheads Boogying Down Hard! In a Grassy Field!! – at a G. As does this Image bring the memories back on home, or what! ? Just check out the Tie-Dye’ Colors’ & ” Pattern ” on this G. Rock & Roll Beauty! – as they sure don’t make them just quite-like-this anymore! Color-contrast for sure, and in the Classically-Awesome! ” V ” Tie-Dye type Fashion-Style!!! Issued well over 25-Years-Ago! And maybe even more Stylish! Check out the photos provided… Do-remember to never stop Dancin’!!!!! Because as we all well-know… The Music’ Never’ Stops!! They are clean, have been properly stored, and most are size XL so they will actually fit. SUPER RARE – Vintage, excellent condition with bright colored graphics – Grateful Dead. T-Shirt featuring the infamous 1978 “Bertha” by artists Kelly/Mouse from GDP in 1988 – Concert dates shown on the back of the shirt. This is a nice size Large – please refer to sizing for a correct fit. 22 pit to pit. 29 back collar to hem.

RARE – Vintage, Like New Condition – 1993 Summer Tour with dates starting May 14th & 15th in Las Vegas ending in Washington D. On June 25th & 26th. This is just a cool shirt with a beach / tropical theme! Note: the bottom portion of the tag was removed however it still shows the shirt as an XL. 22.5 pit to pit. 28.25 back collar to hem.

T-Shirt “Sun Skeletons” by David Opie with the coveted “Silkworm” label – One of David’s best designs!
