And as for ” Father-Time “? Well, we all know the story there – but not to sound like a Red Bull commercial… This one has Wings!! I mean how Grateful Deadie is that a word? – I don’t know… But I like this ring it gives. Looking into it, it appears he is generally depicted as an elderly bearded man – dressed in a robe (as we know) – usually carrying an Hour Glass (or other timekeeping device) and/or Scythe (both present in this image). But as for the Wings? ! Well, his image comes from a various mix of’ Historic! Sources coming from both ” Chronus ” (the Greek God of Time) – and – ” The Grim Reaper “. We won’t go there, but how Grateful Deadie – once again!! So, I suppose the ” Wings ” are derived from the ” Chronus ” side, as there is really no better way to’ fly’ into one year to the next… As time slowly or even quickly! Not to get too deep here.
