Vintage Original 1994 Issued Shirt Featuring the Legendary!!! 1974 Philip Garris Art design The Fiddler! – used for the Epic! 1975 ” Blues For Allah “… All Dead Fans are mostly on the same page in regard to the importance of the ” Blues For Allah ” album. This was the Grateful Dead’s ” Comeback ” after all, following a group hiatus – which nearly led to a complete dis-banding! Oh my, what would we all have done throughout the Late 70’s & 1980’s? ! ? Well, thankfully that was not the case – however, as Grateful Dead ” images ” go – it is tough to beat this one : ” The Fiddler ” (1974) by Philip Garris – the base art design used for the 1975 ” Blues For Allah ” Album!!! Right up there all the way for-certain with Steal Your Face! ” & ” Bertha Skeleton & Roses claim to G. However, while those were obviously invented before & during the ” Golden ” era of the Band, this ” Fiddler ” image on the other hand – represented ” magnificent change & transformation ” for new-look & new-sound! I can only imagine some of the fan-reactions when they first heard their very-first ” Allah ” album play in’75 – Wow! And especially being there to see it performed ” Live ” during those so very few & precious 1975 chances!! The funny thing is, probably just about the exact same thing happened a couple years later when they also heard ” Terrapin Station “! ? ! These were interesting times indeed, and in my opinion this is the Quintessential! Image from this way-beyond exciting time for the Grateful Dead. And as for this Shirt itself? This is a Shirt made in 1994! You bet Dead Fans… This one now clocks-in at around 30-Years Old! Where does the time-go! ? A true’90’s vintage time-capsule treasure here, representing the one & only… Thank You Philip Garris for giving all the Deadhead Faithful a Beyond-Legendary! And of course, hey G. (2002 GDP) : Large (L) : Very-Rare! Shirt Issued by GDP well-over a Decade & a Half Ago!! I mean – Can You Use, Them Old… You betcha I can… And so could & did! The Good Ol’ Grateful Dead at RFK Stadium – on July 10, 1973… Rock & Roll Throw-down – and one of Pure-Legend! With the Grateful Dead & The Allman Brothers Band!!! Rock & Roll inside Washington D. S classic RFK Stadium… Right on the tail-end of Rock’s ” Prime ” & Golden! I mean I’ve seen some Dead Shows at RFK in my time… 7/13/1989 – 7/12/1990 – 6/14/1991 – 6/20/1992 – 6/25/1993 – 6/26/1993… But, as most G. ” Purists ” would indeed agree – None! Some of mine were Real-Hot! Though, and let me be the first to tell you. I’ve sat close to Everywhere! In Good Ol’ RFK & mostly up on stage-front! – and, it’s just such an interesting & different Stadium’ shape’ when looking on up. And, acoustically – it’s obviously a Stadium, and sound can’ swirl’ a bit in certain corridors… But, can you even imagine the kind of sound that was swirling-away – on June 10th 1973!!! ? The Dead & Allman Bros. In one of their ” Many ” Prime-Eras! And, in actually – this was one of the earliest Shows of them up there on stage gun-slinging in a ” Stadium ” scenario… To the Crowd’s Delight! And with no’ Furthur’ adieu – this here is the’ Official’ GDP, Inc. Shirt issued in 2002 to Commemorate this Beyond-Amazing! Rock & Roll Day – which was, after all… In our Nation’s Capital!!!
