Grateful Dead 1995 Spring Tour Shirt – created by Dan Morris! Too bad Dan didn’t make more Official Tour Shirts for the Band – seriously… And, if they would have kept touring past 1995 – he might have! But, on this one — wow did he hit the mark. In making a Grateful Dead Tour Shirt – just like we like’em! In the fashionable look. I mean here we have… A Dead Fan Skeleton playing the Bongos! But, one quick look at the photos, and you will see that this-one is way more than that! As this is a Spiral-Eyed! & Cigarette Smoking Skeleton with even a Fancy Cigarette Holder! – wearing a Top Hat with a Rose!! There weren’t too many Dead Shirts featuring’ Smoking’? ! ? The’89 Summer Tour ” Smoking Keyboard Skeleton ” Tee is the only one that I can even think of? You know, right off the top of my Dead Head!! And, just-like in the Good Ol’ Daze of the Grateful Dead Parking Lot! — this Rhythm Devil of a Skeleton has gathered some Fans fast! – a Spiral-Eyed Lizard & a Skull! – and even a Crescent Moon too! The scene here on this Dead Tour Tee! Oh & yeah too – as how could I almost forget… This is a Grateful Dead Steal Your Face! Brand pair of Bongos – with a Steal Your Face! In Red, White & Blue right on the front! Check-out the colorful & exquisite detail! All over the design on this Dan Morris Masterpiece… And some serious! Detail on the’ framed’ border. It’s almost Native American and/or Southwestern in the printed design… But, when you look inside – there are Skulls, Eyes, Peace Signs… And even Dancin’ Bears! In this brilliant pattern. And, look at the ” Grateful Dead ” font on the back! So different, unique & cool… Unlike any other, really. One of the most Unique & Coolest! With this one for Spring’95! And, as I’ve already said – but almost have to say again here… It’s just too bad that Dan Morris didn’t make more super-creative Shirts for the Dead! Be thankful for what you were lucky enough to get. A 1995 Tour Classic! – to say the very-least… Tag Size / Brand : Extra Large (X-Large / XL) / Fruit of the Loom 100% Cotton / Made in U. Pit-to-Pit = 23″ Length = 30″ As this is a used collectible shirt – here are the issues that stand out to my eye upon very close inspection : >>> one (1) hole approx. 1mm on the shirt front, located 6″ from the bottom & 10″ from right side (please see photos/photo #5). >>> three (3) blue spots approx. 1mm each on the shirt back, and left arm (please see photos/photo #6). >>> cracking of the design emblem images (please see photos). >>> slight fading of the design emblem image colors (please see photos). >>> some piling of the shirt material fabric (please see photos). Grateful Dead Shirt : Original : G. With a Motorcycle Jacket!! & a Switchblade Knife!!!! Late 2000’s Issue : Black : Large (L) : Very-Rare!!! Grateful Dead Smokin’ Switchblade Skeleton!!! A Dead Man obsessed! Obviously by the Good Ol’ Pigpen-Era! Fashionable Sporting — Biker Boots! – a Leather Jacket! – Smoke in the Teeth! Just for the’Right’ Grateful Dead Fan!!!! So here’s one just a little bit on the Different, Rare! No Rick Griffin ” Crossbones ” here, or anything like this – but this one here looks like one Pigpen himself might choose to wear, if he was around to here in this new millennium! Just check out the no-messin’-around image on this one… And here you thought you didn’t think that you ever wanted to wear a Dead Shirt! ? ! Smokin’ Skeleton holding a Switchblade-like Knife, with a possessed-look – picking away at something? — and naturally, wearing a Leather Motorcycle Jacket, with a serious pair of Biker-type boots!! When I first saw this here black & white Classic! I couldn’t quite tell if it was Biker, Punk Rock, or even The Mods? But, I’m going with Biker – I think? Hey, you tell me. I just think that slick looking Motorcycle Jacket is a give-away, and if that isn’t how about those Boots!! I don’t know about the Knife & the Smoke, as I won’t go there. Almost looks like a Toni Iommi image from the Nassau Coliseum in’80 on the ” Heaven & Hell ” Tour! But wait, we’re talkin’ Grateful Dead. Just check out that ” Grateful Dead ” logo design!! ? !! That image looks totally killer too! I’m thinking that this one should probably be ridden & shown-off on the ” Right ” Harley – as when you think about it, how many just black & white Only! Grateful Dead tee’s do you ever really see! I guess in other words… I suppose this is the ” Tie-Dye ” Antidote! For the fan that still just loves their Grateful Dead!! – it’s in really nice-shape – so whether or not you want to cut the sleeves-off & go sleeveless, is entirely up to you. Careful though, as to never quite-know what a vintage-tee like This! Might be worth in the Future when it is an old & grey Good Ol’ Friend!! This is a Lightly Barely!
