The Second Decadenal Field Trip!!! Who know a’ Real-Deal’ Dead Shirt when you see-one – from close 45-Years Ago!!! & Rock & Roll History!! Probably best-described in’ short’ & in modern Dead Fan language as… ” Sunshine Daydream – Part II “!! And, as far as long-described goes? Well, trust me as I could go on All-Day! This was the long-waited ” Return ” of The Grateful Dead! To Veneta from the Legendary! 8/27/72 Veneta, Oregon Show… Some do feel that 8/27/72 was one-of, if not simply ” The ” most-important Dead Shows in the Band’s entire History! And, I sure do agree – that it is up there. But, being that this still is America & all – a land where everyone is entitled to their own opinion – even if it is in the great ” minority “… And so, here – with no Furthur adieu – here’s mine… On 8/28/82 (nearly 10-years to the date, of the 8/27/82 Show)… And yes, by Hotter!! I mean – let’s put it this way… In’72 the Strat! Got a little bit of mercy (here & there) – but, in’82… And, quite frankly – I’ve ” outgrabbed ” my 8/28/82 Tapes a near 2-to-1 in ratio since having them both in my possession from way-back in the Late’80’s As from the late Set I China > Rider! This-Show is just flat-out Magical!! For that Other One!!! I’d even go as far as calling this Show a ” Top 5 ” of All! It’s just So-Nasty! – and the Boys are simply unwilling to not make this one count — Big-Time!!! The Grateful Dead’s Second Decadenal!! To the Magnificent & Glorious! Oregon Country Fairgrounds on 8/28/82!!! So, in other words – go grab Your! And load-up this Intense & Magical! & You tell Me!! If you know the Magical ” Oregon Country Fair ” Fairgrounds! Know where I’m coming from on the sheer Magic! Of this Dead Show! As you bet that this-one has roamed through those Magical Woods! – at least on this Planet!!! And, as it totally goes without saying – but, which should still be clearly stated… This David Lundquist ” Eagle Eye Studios ” Art Design! Was, is & will always be… One of his Very-Best! Logo design GDM Shirt from’94!!! A Mid-’90’s Dead Fan Favorite! — & One of the Coolest! Modern-Era (Pre-’95) Grateful Dead Shirt Designs!!!! And naturally, those who know the’ Real-Deal’ Dead Tees! When they see one!! Hopefully, you’ll remember this one very-well – and likely from Dead Tour! Offered here indeed is one of the neatest, rarest, and highly-desirable! GDM Grateful Dead Merchandising, Inc. Shirts manufactured in the Mid-90’s, prior to Jerry Garcia’s untimely passing. In other words, there was really only 1-year for you to even see this shirt on the road – during Dead Tour… But I will never forget the very first time I saw it – in Seattle, Washington right smack-dab under the Space Needle!! So, I did the rightful thing (like any good Dead Fan would do) – and gave the Wow, that is a Great Shirt! And naturally, it was taken in with a Big Smile & a Thanks! In my personal opinion, this is indeed one of the very-coolest G. Tees of the Mid-’90’s. It was designed by Marc Almera in’94, and it is a truly amazing & eye-catching design to say the least… One that completely speaks for itself. An ” Aged ” looking Steal Your Face & GD carved inside a stone-like Aztec/Mayan culture design pattern Beautiful! Which entirely surrounds these symbols. I believe this slate-blue color shirt was actually the only! Shirt color, that this design was made on – and it is pretty clear why… As this unique ” slate-blue ” background provides an absolutely Perfect! Contrast for this brilliant design to shine brightly & boldly – while at the same time, in a very subtle, classic & tasteful way. On the back, you have ” Grateful Dead ” written in a totally-unique & awesome! Font (Aztec/Mayan-style, once again) in G. Red, White & Blue! Which I cannot recall ever seeing on any T-Shirts, Tickets, Posters, etc.. Prior to on being debuted on this’94 shirt. Design here, if I may. However, it really does looks like it would have been a way-ideal logo for G. But I don’t think it was ever used for that purpose – or for any other? ! ? It probably really should have been though – but, it’s probably even cooler now since it wasn’t and was only featured on this amazing Dead Shirt! All the rarer, for certain. What a fantastic GD Shirt!!! Rare, unique, awesome & simply Beautiful! This is a Lightly (Barely) Used Vintage Original Collectible clothing item from 1994 in Excellent!
