May 16, 2009 (5/16/2009) – Gorge Amphitheatre – Quincy, Washington (WA) : Tour Issued’ Venue-Specific’ Tour Shirt! Show at’ The Gorge!! Pacific Northwest Quincy, WA! With the Doobie Brothers!! & Allman Brothers Band!!! Also opening The Dead Show!!!!! Did you make it? Were you there for this one? ! I’m sure hoping so… This was a Very-Special-Day, and then some!! Turn the clock back to May 2009, and just think massively Sunny & Beautiful Day at what might very-well be one of American’s Finest Outdoor Venues, and maybe even one of the Coolest! Places in the world to see some Great… Or in this case’ Grate!! Live Rock’n Roll!!! The Dead at The Gorge!!! – as advertised indeed, but this event also included both the Doobie Brothers! & The Allman Brothers Band!! — and they were both fantastic. Heck, the biggest surprise for me was how fun, and musically-tight the Doobie Brothers were! ? ! I’m not sure why I expected any less – but they just blew-us-away… This was a Long-Long!! Day of Rock’n Roll, and I was completely delighted to get my Passenger > Bucket! Kinda like the Bucket > Passenger in Eugene!!!!! Yeah, I do live for that kind of stuff – it’s no secret. So back on track – The Allman’s were loud! – and I don’t know what was hotter, the Sun – or Greg belting-out the Whipping Post!!! See what I mean though… As this was’ that’ kind of day… And it was Packed! Nobody on the West Coast wanted to miss this one, and obviously… It was quite the ” destination ” show too, with Fans coming in from Everywhere around the Nation, and quite frankly – probably beyond. Hey, the fact is… Even getting to The Gorge! Is really no east trek for any fan, but on this day… All-three Bands made it beyond worth the while. I mean hey, this Show was kind of Legendary, from at least a modern-perspective. And most importantly for me – above all-else, really. I was thinking that it could very well be the case. This was the last chance for me, and probably many-many others to see the Glorious 2-Headed Monster(s)… Doing their thing, side-by-side, in sync, and just plainly Beautifully!! Billy & Mickey, man do we love you guys – and all we can say is Thanks!!! For just being who you are, and Playing in the Band! Together for all of those fine years. This is a way-serious shirt here, and it means tons – to the right Fan. And hey, all of this aside – this design is just Amazing!!! Take a nice close look inside the Steal Your Face! – and you see a delightful image of ” The Gorge ” in all bright colors! And as for the back side… Making it pretty obvious that Everyone!
