Logo design GDM Shirt from’94!!! A Mid-’90’s Dead Fan Favorite! — & One of the Coolest! Modern-Era (Pre-’95) Grateful Dead Shirt Designs!!!! And naturally, those who know the’ Real-Deal’ Dead Tees! When they see one!! Hopefully, you’ll remember this one very-well – and likely from Dead Tour! Offered here indeed is one of the neatest, rarest, and highly-desirable! GDM Grateful Dead Merchandising, Inc. Shirts manufactured in the Mid-90’s, prior to Jerry Garcia’s untimely passing. In other words, there was really only 1-year for you to even see this shirt on the road – during Dead Tour… But I will never forget the very first time I saw it – in Seattle, Washington right smack-dab under the Space Needle!! So, I did the rightful thing (like any good Dead Fan would do) – and gave the Wow, that is a Great Shirt! And naturally, it was taken in with a Big Smile & a Thanks! In my personal opinion, this is indeed one of the very-coolest G. Tees of the Mid-’90’s. It was designed by Marc Almera in’94, and it is a truly amazing & eye-catching design to say the least… One that completely speaks for itself. An ” Aged ” looking Steal Your Face & GD carved inside a stone-like Aztec/Mayan culture design pattern Beautiful! Which entirely surrounds these symbols. I believe this slate-blue color shirt was actually the only! Shirt color, that this design was made on – and it is pretty clear why… As this unique ” slate-blue ” background provides an absolutely Perfect! Contrast for this brilliant design to shine brightly & boldly – while at the same time, in a very subtle, classic & tasteful way. On the back, you have ” Grateful Dead ” written in a totally-unique & awesome! Font (Aztec/Mayan-style, once again) in G. Red, White & Blue! Which I cannot recall ever seeing on any T-Shirts, Tickets, Posters, etc.. Prior to on being debuted on this’94 shirt. Design here, if I may. However, it really does looks like it would have been a way-ideal logo for G. But I don’t think it was ever used for that purpose – or for any other? ! ? It probably really should have been though – but, it’s probably even cooler now since it wasn’t and was only featured on this amazing Dead Shirt! All the rarer, for certain. What a fantastic GD Shirt!!! Rare, unique, awesome & simply Beautiful! This is a Lightly (Barely) Used Vintage Original Collectible clothing item from 1994 in Excellent! As here offered here is the Very-Rare! 2003 Issued version of the Grateful Dead 1988 Summer Tour GDM Classic! And, while the 1988 Grateful Dead Summer Tour Shirt was made only ” Venue-Specific ” for the July 29, 30 & 31, 1988 (7/29/88 – 7/30/88 – 7/31/88) run of G. Shows at the Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, CA — this very-rare’03 version was actually’ changed’ from the’88 original version… With the Tour Dates omitted! So, quite the opportunity for certain for any Dead Fans out there who just Loved! Movie / USA Uncle Sam Skeleton Shirt Design… But, that didn’t catch the Laguna Seca’88 Shows! Genuine / Authentic 2003 Issue by GDM, which really was a ” re-creation ” and alteration of the Laguna Seca’88 Original! I mean hey, let’s face it… Some Fans might love a Dead Shirt’ design’ – but, they don’t want to Rock a Shirt out in public promoting a Show that they didn’t actually go to see. You know – and, for a fine example : You! Are sitting at the bar, having a pint of beer… And a (very) pretty girl walks up to you like… A’ total’ California Girl through & through and she says… Hey Man, I went to that Dead Show at Laguna Seca… Were’ You’ there too? ! Your answer is ahhh… Something like ” the wrong ” answer of — Nope, but I’m just wearing the Shirt. A bummer so-easily avoided, right? My point being, this was such an Awesome! Dead Shirt design when it originally debuted in’88 – to the point that it Really! Should have been made also in a ” Non ” Venue-Specific version also. Maybe too just for the ” 1988 Summer Tour ” alone, or maybe too – just like this… ” Generic ” version – with All! Of the Killer designs in place, but just no Show Dates. And, I’m pretty much sure GDM was thinking just like me on this notion, because here in Finally! And, it only took 15-Years! To get it done… From 1988 to 2003! But, the important thing is that it did happen… Yes, time does fly… But, no need for you to worry anymore on getting this-one in your cherished Rock & Roll! As here it is… & here you go! Size ” Large ” is your size – which, we are both hoping so… Because this Shirt needs Rocked! Out in public, and at the next Show! That you go and see. You had better get ready for the Nice Shirt!!! Compliments, because believe me – they Will! Be coming in with this one.
