To see real Rock & Roll!!! And, while I myself have not even seen a Concert at the Greek – since…- I have indeed listened to these’82 G. Shows probably close to 60 + times… Well, hey though – take it easy… As I’ve had them since the Late’80’s!! In fact, these 3-Shows were only actually the 6th, 7th & 8th Shows that the Dead played at the Greek Theatre, with a Fall Tour 1967 Show being the very-first. The Band was actually only ” allowed ” to play at the Greek until the 1989 Summer Tour, as by then – things just got too-big for the Boys. So, this’82 run was actually the 2nd ” multi-night ” run of Shows – with only 1981 being the 1st, and the Greek Theatre delivered more Magic! For the Grateful Dead, than one could shake a stick at – or, you know… I actually went to school at Cal for a while in the Early-’90’s, and let’s just put it this way… Way-before that, I was listening to quite a bit of the Motorcycle Space! From the 5/23/82 Sunday Night Show!!! Garcia at the Warfield – and the Dead at Shoreline, Expo & the Coliseum were the word when I lived there – but, they did actually play the ” BCT ” once in’94 – as a’ Benefit’ Show… Bobby, Phil & Jerry!
