And how incredibly special is this Shirt? Wedged right smack-dab in between!!! Three-Cheers for that Boss HM-2, right? But as we all well know – any piece of equipment can only take so much credit… So let’s give 90% of that credit to Jerry! This Era is pretty much a non-stop clinic on how to play a Guitar the right way – at least to my humble Dead Fans ears. Complete command, with insane-agility, passion & power. So much excitement is delivered in this era, and so many chances are taken… Just like Garcia once said himself – Louder is Better… It’s the’ Brent-Era’, and there is nothing quite-like-it. And the little-rough-around-the-edges is very welcomed – hey, it’s ok. When I’m at a Show, I’d rather see a Band lay it all out, than go through the motions in a security-blanket. This era takes some heat for the’ slop’, no doubt – and rightfully so, or so I suppose. But listen to the’ Right-Night’ when it’s an All Cylinders Go! – and it is On!!! So yes, this is my cry-out for more pro-releases from that Stellar’81 to’86 period — and of course,’89-’90 too! But, Thankfully – we’ve been treated pretty kindly there, as of late. Let’s just release 12/31/84 pro! Hmmm, how’s about 6/30/85!! ? !
