True Vintage 1977 GRATEFUL DEAD Skull & Roses BERTHA Concert Tour Shirt Size M

A recent estate find from an old deadhead. I found it in a little shed that had been modified into a teenager’s room / party pad circa 1972. There was all sorts of paraphernalia of the 1960’s and 70’s counterculture.. Underground comix, trip toys, records and a hi-fi. There was a poster on the wall from the Dead’s first ever Family dog show.. Unfortunately most of the albums were very “partied upon”. They say it is better to burn out than fade away but most of the stuff was both burnt out and faded away. But with the shirts i found that just seems to give them more character. I’m putting them up here for those who appreciate holes as “negative space” and stains as patina. They are the real deal. This particular listing is for this vintage 1976 or’77 GRATEFUL DEAD concert T-Shirt. This is the famous ” SKULL and ROSES” motif. The shirt is a size M. The measurements are in the photos. This is a true vintage shirt. Offering it in ” as found” condition. It has been worn many times. There are holes and stains. It has mucho character. If this shirt could talk.. There are lot of stains throughout, couple small holes on it, the ribbing on the collar was cut to make it wider collar which very popular style in the 80s and size tag was cut off as well so please check actual measurement in pictures. 30 days return on unworn and unused items. Mixing a Charles Darwin! Evolution’ Gorilla’ with The Thinker!! And that of Darwinism! – for that matter! As what we have here is almost beyond! A true-vintage piece of Rock’n Roll History!!! ? ! I mean leave it to The Grateful Dead, right? Well, before I go on too far here sorry, just can’t help it with this Beauty! It is definitely important for me to note that this Official 1985 GDM Shirt is still Brand New! Never worn, never washed – and ” Collected-Only “. And as for the design itself? Well, if you were on Grateful Dead Tour in the Mid/Late’80’s, or even Early’90’s… Then you might recognize this Amazingly Clever art design from one of your Grateful Dead Tickets! It was a fancy G. Used by GDP on ticket stock from 1985/86 through 1993/94 (approximately). But, as for the Shirt! You’re looking at it… 1985, and 1985 Only! (C) 1985 Grateful Dead Productions, Inc. And as for what’s behind? A way-clever mix between Charles Darwin’s Head-Scratcher Evolution Gorilla! And ” The Thinker ” by Auguste Rodin!! This one even has a little’ 2001 Space Odyssey!
