Rateful Dead Fan die-hard Skiers fall in for this Very-Rare! 96 Grateful Dead Merchandise, Inc. Because this is definitely one that You need to Rock! – totally no-doubt about it. This is the 1996 GDM issued Vintage-Original Long Sleeved version… And it is still Brand New! And hey, why not wear it right-on the Slopes! – on that next bright Sunny Day… When that Champagne Powder is still Fresh! And, my fellow Dead Fan Friends – as the photos well-show, this Shirt offers quite the Ski scenes… First off, the Tie-Dye pattern on this fine shirt is Incredibly-Awesome! Compliments the Amazing-design on this All-Out Winter scene. I mean, just take a close look at this Skiing Dancing Bear – and you are likely quickly to admire, just how Geared-Up! He or she is… Cap, and – no pun intended at all on this one – Skulls!! Just take a Look! Skis – Ski Poles – Stylish Jacket – the Perfect Ski Boots, you name it! Some serious Downhill-Bear here, Shreddin’ away at this Fresh Champagne Powder in this Mountain & Ski Lodge Scene. Even the Sun is wearing some stylish Goggles in this one too! And so-is the Crow! And check out the Critter in the Canyon-crevasse! Even with a Skull Snowball!! And, that’s just the front side of this Shirt – with some seriously action-packed bliss, indeed. And on the back? Terrapin is in on the action too… Getting some real-nice air, and it must! Feel nice with those Sporty Ear-Muffs!! The Skeleton-Dog is looking on at this Terrapin taking a little air, but is still making sure that the beverage is safe & intact… Right nest to the Yard Sale! The Ski Lodge is down below, looking pretty darn welcoming & glowing – as there must! Be a toasty fire inside of there. As I almost forgot, and that would have been real tragic – because that is my kind of Ski-Lift!!! One that says Ski Dead, and has a Lightning-Bolt! On the bottom side, with a Skull-Face on the Lift! Kaiser – in Oakland, CA!!!!!! I don’t even know what to say about this still Brand New! 1986 Jerry Garcia Band Shirt, other than that it is pretty much breath-taking Amazing! Let’s try this – because it always resonates pretty well in Deadheadland.. So yes, I definitely wish you that cordially for that Next! As that addition of’ Season’ seems to make it last longer, but Fans — right here, we are talking about 1986! October 31st, 1986 at the Henry J. Kaiser in Oakland, California – and if you’ve been? Then yes, you know… We are talking about a Shirt aka. Rock n’ Roll Treasure! That was made for a Jerry Garcia Band Show for the Halloween’86 Show, with Bob Weir & Kingfish opening! This Shirt is Still! And, it even designed by the late/great Alton Kelley!!! Just check out the photos, and you will gladly see that trademarked Kelley signature in the corner on the left side. Kaiser’86, Garcia Band right after Jerry’s ” Triumphant Return “!!! – Alton Kelley Art Masterpiece! – Bobby Weir & Kingfish Opening! The most important part, naturally >>> How Sweet It Is – Stoned Me – Forever Young – Harder They Come – Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door – Think – Lucky Old Sun – Dear Prudence – Tangled Up In Blue – and for the Encore?? Do I really even need to type it? Oh my, it’s tough to even think of anything quite this Hot! In the Spirit of the Season! The’ Favorite-Holiday’, of many Dead Fans – that is. And the only thing that comes to mind, is the other Garcia ” Comeback ” Show, which actually’ officially’ fell on Halloween – on 10/31/92 in Oakland, but naturally – that one was at the Coliseum. None other than the King of Rock’n Roll himself – Jerry Garcia!!!!! Home-turf style, in Good Ol’ Oakland!!! To be frank, this Shirt is so Incredibly-Awesome – that it’s almost Intimidating! Or, as I should more properly say — Spooky!!! This is a Brand New! (without tags) Vintage-Collectible clothing item from 1986 in overall Excellent! Tag / Brand : Large (L) / Hanes 100% Cotton / Made in U. As this is brand new (never worn / never washed) vintage shirt – here are the only issues that stand out to my eye upon very close inspection. >>> small light yellow marks throughout the shirt, mostly around the collar & right arm area. Rick Griffin & Stanley Mouse / Alton Kelley Art!! The’ Closing of Winterland’ 1978 – 1979 New Years Eve Design ” The Blue Rose ” by Mouse / Kelley!!! Good Ol’ Grateful Dead – Vintage-Classic!!!! & Mouse / Kelley Fans!! Offered here is a Legendary!!! As for this one, the term Legendary itself is almost an understatement – as the photos provided, do a fantastic job of telling the tale on this one… On the front side of this Vintage-Original (Genuine / Authentic) 1982 Beauty! Of a Dead Shirt… You have the Grateful Dead ” Skull & Crossbones ” image – Bright & Bold! By the one & only Rick Griffin! I believe this image made its very-first’ inaugural’ debut on the the Grateful Dead’s 15-Year Anniversary Program, when at that time – it was also featured on T-Shirts, most of which or maybe all? I believe were T-Shirts of the ” short-sleeve ” design/style. And on the back… The Stanley Mouse & Alton Kelley image from the 1978 Poster / Handbill / Shirt Masterpiece… The image known as the Blue Rose! The debut of this Amazing & Quintessential G. Design was in celebration of the Grateful Dead’s Closing of the Winterland on New Year’s Eve 1978-79. And this Shirt here? & Rock’n Roll Shirt-World, as this 1982 printing combined Both! Of these Giant G. On the perfect two-tone, 3/4 sleeve’ Jersey-Shirt’ which is just a fantastic symbol, of the sign of the styles & times. A wonderful’ grey’ color on the body to most-effectively catapult these more than eye-catching artistic images. And as for the Sleeves? Well, that’s where this Shirt here – in Excellent! Condition, may I add — becomes an extreme rarity… As a majority of these’82 Shirts that were made had the same’ grey’ body – but had’ black’ sleeves. Where has this one? Take a close look – and you will see that the sleeves are a perfect-shade of’ Navy-Blue’!!! I suppose the original manufacturers intent was to make this shirt with’ black’ sleeves (to highlight & match the Griffin image) – and also with’ blue’ sleeves (to highlight & match the Mouse / Kelley image). Who knows what the original quantities might have been… But as the sands of time have passes through the hour-glass – close to 45-Years Old Now! – the’ black-sleeve’ version is seen, and seems to surface – where on the other hand? You just do not seen this’ navy blue’ sleeved version. This Shirt is just a truly-Amazing! One, in that you are basically able to wear two 2! Of Rock’n Roll’s and The Grateful Dead’s most Quintessential! – & Grateful Dead!!! Of a Vintage-Original 1982 Shirt, and wear it with pride – as this one will deliver both the Compliments! Too – even from Both-Sides!!! This is a Lightly Barely! Tag Size / Brand : X Large (XL) / The tag has been cleanly removed (without any damage to the shirt material fabric, or seams) and the measurements correspond directly to the tag size ” X Large ” from this 1982 era (3/4 Sleeve Shirt). As this is a lightly used, and very well taken care of shirt – here are the only issues that stand out to my eye upon very close inspection. >>> bleach marks on the end of the front left arm sleeve (please see photos). >>> a few assorted tiny marks/stains (please see photos). >>> the tag has been removed’cleanly’ with no damage to the shirt material, or the seams (please see photos). August 28, 1982 (8/28/1982) : Lundquist Art Design! David Lundquist Eagle Eye Studios / GDP (c) 1982 – Grateful Dead Productions, Inc. Springfield Creamery Benefit Concert! The Second Decadenal Field Trip!!! Who know a’ Real-Deal’ Dead Shirt when you see-one – from close 45-Years Ago!!! & Rock & Roll History!! Probably best-described in’ short’ & in modern Dead Fan language as… ” Sunshine Daydream – Part II “!! And, as far as long-described goes? Well, trust me as I could go on All-Day! This was the long-waited ” Return ” of The Grateful Dead! To Veneta from the Legendary! 8/27/72 Veneta, Oregon Show… Some do feel that 8/27/72 was one-of, if not simply ” The ” most-important Dead Shows in the Band’s entire History! And, I sure do agree – that it is up there. But, being that this still is America & all – a land where everyone is entitled to their own opinion – even if it is in the great ” minority “… And so, here – with no Furthur adieu – here’s mine… On 8/28/82 (nearly 10-years to the date, of the 8/27/82 Show)… And yes, by Hotter!! I mean – let’s put it this way… In’72 the Strat! Got a little bit of mercy (here & there) – but, in’82… And, quite frankly – I’ve ” outgrabbed ” my 8/28/82 Tapes a near 2-to-1 in ratio since having them both in my possession from way-back in the Late’80’s As from the late Set I China > Rider! This-Show is just flat-out Magical!! For that Other One!!! I’d even go as far as calling this Show a ” Top 5 ” of All! It’s just So-Nasty! – and the Boys are simply unwilling to not make this one count — Big-Time!!! The Grateful Dead’s Second Decadenal!! To the Magnificent & Glorious! Oregon Country Fairgrounds on 8/28/82!!! So, in other words – go grab Your! And load-up this Intense & Magical! & You tell Me!! If you know the Magical ” Oregon Country Fair ” Fairgrounds! Know where I’m coming from on the sheer Magic! Of this Dead Show! As you bet that this-one has roamed through those Magical Woods! – at least on this Planet!!! And, as it totally goes without saying – but, which should still be clearly stated… This David Lundquist ” Eagle Eye Studios ” Art Design! Was, is & will always be… One of his Very-Best! If really, not just his Best! As Lundquist did indeed do some Grate! Ones for the Dead in the Early-’80’s Era – but, for years & years… This-one has always been my own personal favorite. For those of you out there who saw the Band at both 8/27/82 And! I personally consider you to be some of the Luckiest Folks! In this whole-wide World!!
