Let’s try this – because it always resonates pretty well in Deadheadland.. So yes, I definitely wish you that cordially for that Next! As that addition of’ Season’ seems to make it last longer, but Fans — right here, we are talking about 1986! October 31st, 1986 at the Henry J. Kaiser in Oakland, California – and if you’ve been? Then yes, you know… We are talking about a Shirt aka. Rock n’ Roll Treasure! That was made for a Jerry Garcia Band Show for the Halloween’86 Show, with Bob Weir & Kingfish opening! This Shirt is Still! And, it even designed by the late/great Alton Kelley!!! Just check out the photos, and you will gladly see that trademarked Kelley signature in the corner on the left side. Kaiser’86, Garcia Band right after Jerry’s ” Triumphant Return “!!! – Alton Kelley Art Masterpiece! – Bobby Weir & Kingfish Opening! The most important part, naturally >>> How Sweet It Is – Stoned Me – Forever Young – Harder They Come – Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door – Think – Lucky Old Sun – Dear Prudence – Tangled Up In Blue – and for the Encore?? Do I really even need to type it? Oh my, it’s tough to even think of anything quite this Hot! In the Spirit of the Season! The’ Favorite-Holiday’, of many Dead Fans – that is. And the only thing that comes to mind, is the other Garcia ” Comeback ” Show, which actually’ officially’ fell on Halloween – on 10/31/92 in Oakland, but naturally – that one was at the Coliseum. None other than the King of Rock’n Roll himself – Jerry Garcia!!!!! Home-turf style, in Good Ol’ Oakland!!! To be frank, this Shirt is so Incredibly-Awesome – that it’s almost Intimidating! Or, as I should more properly say — Spooky!!! This is a Brand New! (without tags) Vintage-Collectible clothing item from 1986 in overall Excellent! Tag / Brand : Large (L) / Hanes 100% Cotton / Made in U. As this is brand new (never worn / never washed) vintage shirt – here are the only issues that stand out to my eye upon very close inspection. >>> small light yellow marks throughout the shirt, mostly around the collar & right arm area. Of The Grateful Dead!!! Well, if your were there – then, there’s a pretty good chance that you might have seen one of these! Arguably ” The ” Lot Shirt from the’95 Summer Tour! If you’re actually keeping tabs, and handing out points for creativity – and stuff like that. How exactly can you beat this? !! Jerry Garcia as a Knight in Shining Armor – riding in proudly on a Skeleton Horse!!!!! Dang, as I distinctly remember how I felt – the 1st time I saw this one on Tour. And here I-was thinking that all the Super! Creative lot shirt ideas had already been used… Jerry as a Knight!!! Hey, I mean after all… He is the King of Rock & Roll – at least in my book. Plus, aren’t Mick Jagger & Paul McCartney already’ Knights’?? Just because Garcia didn’t live in England — no reason at all to not Knight Jerry! And, what really makes this Shirt even cooler… Is that it’s for 1995! – the Last/Final Dead Tour!! And, if you’re are one of those out there that really-knows your Vintage Dead Tees hopefully so! – then, you will also know that a similar-version of this Shirt circulated the 1994 Tour – but, if my mind serves me correctly… The colors on the’ front’ design were in Rainbow-Colors? ! And, it didn’t look quite as this’95 version – with the straight-up Black! In true Garcia style!! And, if you dig the front design on this Tee which, I’m sure you do… Then check-out the back! Of the 1995 Summer Tour dates are present on this one – both East Coast / Midwest & West Coast too! The Bright Colors & Design of this piece of Art are just Spectacular! — in the form of a Rose!!! Plus, I love the font – so classic… & so Early / Mid-’90’s too! As, these were indeed the days that most people still didn’t even have a Computer! Or, if they did… It didn’t work too cool – and, was anything-but user friendly! So, when I see a killer graphic like this… I just like to give props! I’m not certain who exactly designed this one, but… I’ll give them a Gold Star! – or, maybe even better yet… ” The ” 1995 Grateful Dead Tour… Tag Size / Brand : Extra Large (X-Large / XL) / Hanes Beefy Tee 100% Cotton / Made in U. Tours of All-Time — the 1991 Fall Tour!!!! Here is arguably The!!! Jerry Garcia Band Shirt — possibly the most Visually-Creative, Coolest, and really the Best! And, as far as the modern Post-’89 J. G. B. Touring Era goes – I really think that this one might just stand alone. Though, just my personal opinion – and to my eyes naturally… But, how about You? What do you think? ! Classic that is now close to 35-Years Old! I know, I know… As that never seemed possible, but – as time passes, and the grains of sand flow through that hourglass of time & space – this is simply JGB T-Shirt Art of Legend! Garcia’s Doug Irwin’ Tiger’ Guitar flying into this magical & natural scene with Spread-Wings! Flying towards glistening light, mountains, clouds, the skyline, and naturally… The Face of Jerry Garcia right on the bright Moon!!! With also, Pink Roses flowing below inside the image. And, on the backside — Wow!!! The one & only Doug Irwin Guitar Tiger-Rose Logo! With ” JGB Fall Tour 1991 ” printed below! The font is simply amazing, appearing to be almost glowing paint-like in fashion, both on the ” JGB Fall Tour 1991 ” logo, and also on the ” Jerry Garcia ” section on the Front! Bright & Vivid is everywhere on this design, and it really invites you to dive… Right on in – just kind of like that Legendary! Garcia Band 1991 Fall Tour!!! One of my favorites for certain, and really… Likely one of Garcia’s favorites too! And, as for this Tour itself? It was something else!! I mean keep in mind that the J. G. B. Had not played on the East Coast for almost 2-full-years! And, without any question – this’91 Fall Tour covering the East Coast & Midwest too Massively-Grew! The J. G. B. Fan base almost overnight in a Show by Show basis for this Huge! Check out the ” Pure Jerry ” release Hampton 11/9/91 to get a pure taste. I myself was lucky enough to get a taste’ Live’, as I was fortunate enough to see the Two (2) ” Tour-Opening ” Shows! At the Cap Centre!! On 11/6/91 & 11/7/91 – and my goodness were they ” On ” – Super-Duper Tight! For the Loyal East Coast Garcia Fan Faithful!!! The crowd anticipation & reactions to the hot-moments of Garcia & Co. From the 11/6/91 Show-Opener Cats! And on, I could tell that this Tour was truly one of’ the-ones’ to see, without any question at all… These were the days, and all of the same’ Jerry-Magic’ is captured Wonderfully! Right inside this now Legendary! Fall Tour 1991 Tour Shirt. Enjoy this one with all of your Garcia-Fan might! Vintage Jerry Garcia 1987 “On Broadway” tie-dye T-shirt from the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre run in NYC. Original single-stitch construction and front/back graphics. Authentic late-80s hand-dyed pattern. Extremely limited Broadway-run merch and highly collectible. Good vintage condition with some flaws: tiny hole on sleeve, small stain on sleeve, and light hem wear. Normal fade and wear for age. Original 1987 print, single stitch sleeves and hem, worn paper tag, unique tie-dye, front and back hits. Thanks for checking out my shop!
