Vintage Grateful Dead Tour Shirt 2004 Never Worn Old Stock Sample Print RARE Y2K

This is one of a handful of original preproduction sample prints for the 2004 Greatful Dead World Tour. This item has been stored and never worn, it was used as a sample to determine if the design and material was wanted or not. The print later went into production for that years tour. This particular one was recently found at the original printers and is being put up for sale. This is the only sample I’ve ever seen, and maybe the only never worn shirt left in existence. This one is printed on M&O Knit, it was later switched to Port and Company for the final version.

The Cumberland County Civic Center – in Portland, Maine! – the Hartford Civic Center – in Hartford, Connecticut! – the Providence Civic Center – in Providence, Rhode Island! – the Spectrum, in Philly, PA! – and the Hampton Coliseum, in Hampton, Virginia! So, if you were all present & accounted for – perfect on your East Coast G. And then you made the truck-out to Irvine, for the Irvine Meadows Ampitheatre Shows – in California! ? !! ? ! Deserve a ” Deadhead Gold Medal “, of some sort – no doubt at all. I mean you have just Got! To love the design on this one… You’ve got a’ Steal Your Face! Signifying the 2-night Irvine run – all by itself! And then you’ve got a map/scope! Narrowing in on the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic runs – listing each consecutive city on the Tour! Grateful Dead high-tech’80’s T-Shirt design, right? As this one is light-Years! Beyond your average & plain CBGB shirt, right?? ! But seriously, just take one look at the back of this near 30-Year Old treasure, and I think you’ll agree. Check out that mid-’80’s ” Grateful Dead ” font too? Looks very ” Greek Theatre ” style, well… At least to my eyes & mind! Heck, this Shirt looks like a tactical Tour-itinerary! Dang, and it never seemed quite this organized? Well, speaking for myself – that is… With my Tour Crew! Ahhh, the Good Ol” Daze’… But, as for the front of this Shirt.. The one & only ” GD ” Lightning-Bolt Heart Logo!!! A front & center symbol on the front of your G. Tee to show what you stand for… That’s right >>> Love! One of the Coolest Dead Shirts of all-time, at least to my eye – and Stellar! Condition too, might I add. Just check out the photos! Oh, and I almost forgot…. How about the Shirt-Color! This one only gets better & better. Kinda like this’86 Spring Tour too – believe it. Magic all over this Tour, and – this is the Pre-’87 Era too, if – you know what I mean, and where I’m coming from on that. Well, my personal moment of magic on this Tour – it’s an easy one. And hopefully, you too were there, or are at least in the know. The 2nd Night, of the 3-Night Spectrum run. Set I is nice, and you can just tell they are on it – and things might just get hot You know, one of ” Those ” nights… Alabama > Greatest opener – Dire Wolf > Rooster, Brown Eyed Women – Esau! – Ramble On Rose – El Paso… Nice & even among the Band, but – it does feel kinda light Bobby is hungry! Garcia calls for 1/2 Step Mississippi > Bobby drives in into Women Are Smarter! Garcia drops down a High Time, and then… Ace calls for the’ Bob Weir Show’, on a straight-up Power-house Sailor > Saint!!! This drives steadily into Drums… And then – ” It ” happened. Garcia finds the sweetest of sweet treble lines, after the calming of a ravaging Drums > Space! And it’s on >>> The Dew!!!!! And Fans, this Morning Dew is an explosion of Brilliance, Passion & Fire!!! And, I know it’s probably hard to believe, but this Dew was so unbelievably Hot! – that the Band? I kid you not. It was like a Walk-Off Home-Run! They must have just looked at each other, and realistically figured – well, who can top that? ! ?? Not even us, and we’re The Grateful Dead! Then, to’ continue’ to write Mid-’80’s Rock & Roll History on this Spectrum night, they come back for an Encore, and Ace just DESTROYS!!! Gonna Wait, Wait – Wait-Wait… Till’ The Midnight Hour!!!!!!! Some of the hottest-stuff-ever, by the Best-Band-Ever! Well Fans, so – here’s the Shirt! Enjoy this one, and wear it with a little-bit of that Mid-’80’s G. We’re talking Fall Tour in the East!!! Nice & Cold, and the Leaves a ” Fall-in “!!! Plus too, this means that it’s just about Trick or Treat time too! Just right around the corner… What a Time of Year! Back in the day, you could just step-into that Basketball / Hockey Rink Venue on G. And Ooooh That Smell! Just like Skynyrd said! But, we won’t go there! That musty – but still Fresh! Smell of Fall Dead Tour!!!!! Three cheers for Incense, and Patchouli too – right? The Cap Centre was my main Childhood stompin’ ground when it came to the seeing the Boys, and I still! Can’t get used to that’ US Air Arena’ thing! Well, then again – there was no such a thing as US Air Arena when I was Shakin’ my Shoes right next to the Beltway… But, that’s just One! Hot Spots that were are talkin’ about here on this Magnificent! Run – because in Fall’94… The Band hit just about hit them All!!!! >>> The Cap Centre! In addition to the Boston Garden! – the Philly Spectrum! – and of course… Also, a Very-Special Shirt, in that it was one of the very few Shirts designed to represent only the ” 1994 Grateful Dead Fall Tour “! It was designed just for this Tour, along with just a few others – some tie-dyes, and some not… Like this Black Rock & Roll Beauty! A 1994 GDM design by Steve Roth! And, as you can well imagine from the photos provided – this was the Hot! One from this Tour… And was/is/and forever will be – an Instant G. It offers Beautiful & Bright Colors, with a rare & unique design… That is just Beyond-Amazing!!! A Halloween-like Skeleton Face inside a Falling Fall Leaf! – with of course, a Red Rose too!! For sale is a Liquid Blue 1992 Grateful Dead Las Vegas Shirt in Size Large. This is the reprint shirt made a few years ago by Liquid Blue. I don’t believe it’s ever been worn or washed, but the tags have been removed, so I listed it as used. It is in excellent, like new condition. This is an authentic Grateful Dead retro reprint shirt by Liquid Blue and is perhaps one of the best all over print graphic shirts ever made by the Dead. Grateful Dead Shirt : Vintage Original (Genuine / Authentic) : 1984 :’ Steal Your Face! Grateful Dead Productions, Inc. Grateful Dead’84 Vintage Shirt! Logo – with a Bright-Red Shoulder Panel!! — An Early / Mid’80’s G. & Rock’n Roll!! Should I just let the photos do the talking on this one, or should I speak on its behalf? Hough, I do openly admit obviously… That it is tough to out-do the photos of this G. Well, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder – indeed… But, at least to my eye? & for what that’s worth… This here 1984 G. Shirt is simply a Grateful Dead Treasure to behold! Quite frankly, I believe this here T-Shirt to be one of the Hottest!!! Tee’s of all-time. Holy Red & White – Blue Suede Shoes! ? ! Well, it’s safe to say that they Just Don’t Quite Make’em Like’ This! – or, to these’ Quality’ standards either! This thing is just Built To Last! ? ! But wait just a minute… As that Album was like 5-Years away when this Amazing! Tee 1st hit the scene. And, to think that this one was just a little-baby! During that Red-Hot MCVA run that kicked-off the’84 Spring Tour!! I mean all I can really think here is that this just Has! To be one of the finest Grateful Dead Shirts of all-time – issued by GDP! And, to put it so bluntly… It’s one of the Hottest!!!!! Let me put it this way – whomever is the way-lucky one that will be wearing this one to a Show if you even dare, that is… Well, you had just better just be ready – because Fans are going to want their Photos! And that’s no joke! Plus, this shirt even has a little extra G. Luck attached to it. I wore it once! To a Show over another Shirt! And ran right into Mountain Girl! Well, as for the details on this one – please do let the photos do the talking, as I’ve provided as many as possible… And, I think it’s also important to take a close look at the close-ups – to really see the Quality! Of which this one is manufactured. Nice & thick Cotton/Poly Blend (50/50) – the stitching on the shoulder & sleeve areas are done with some serious attention to detail, and care, etc.. take an especially close look at the Stripes! And, by looking close – you can also see any issues that this shirt has, and… There aren’t too many – Real Nice Shape! The main issue I suppose? – is that the shirt is affected by some light spray-paint haze… Some on the design image (see the speckling), the shoulders, sleeves & body. And, other than that? There is some’ pilling’ of the fabric, common in this type of shirt-fabric the heavier-kind! , and there are a few assorted stains here & there. And, in my opinion – basically Nothing! That takes away from snapping this one in a Frame! Or, you could also just snap-it on You! I like it, I like it… The true fact of the matter is that this one really should be sitting in a Museum! The Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame!! Because at least to this guy, that’s what’84 Grateful Dead does to my ears… With some Tone-Heavy Boss-Distortion – courtesy of The Boss Himself!!!
