Dark Star Orchestra 2008 Like A Tumbleweed Tour! – inside Kesey’s’ McDonald Theater!!! & Dead Fans too!! Offered here is one from ” Deadhead-America’s ” Favorite! Grateful Dead Cover Band! Well, or as I should more precisely say… Grateful Dead ” Simulation ” Band. I caught the Tour-closer on this 2008 ” Like A Tumbleweed Tour ” at the McDonald Theater Kesey-Family Venue! – and was fortunate enough to catch a simulation-Smoker!! DSO surprised the Eugene-faithful with the’ Packed-with-Fire! From the Berkeley Community Theatre!!! Though this wouldn’t be much of a surprise (business as usual, really) – but I actually listened to this exact’84 G. Show just the week-prior to seeing this Eugene performance. As a result, I knew what the Show was lightning-quick – and was in pure ” think-back-in-time ” G. The whole night long. I’m assuming you are familiar with this BCT Show – but if not… The set list is crazy, and the Band practically blows out the PA with reckless attack, vigor & beauty, you know… Do It In Road! Well, DSO did a nice job – and I was sincerely impressed, as this was still the John Kadlecik (Furthur) line-up. They smoked it, and I will indeed give them that – an Excellent! Show selection for Eugene – indeed. , and I thought this Shirt design was truly-incredible… But all they had left was XXL. You know, it was the DSO Tour Closer! So I bought it – but as its not my size and I unfortunately can’t wear it bummer for me – but… It has only been ” Collected-Only “, and has never been worn or washed. So, here you go – from me to you – Straight from The Euge! From way-back in 2008! This is a Brand New Original Collectible-clothing item in Brand New! Not to be too far fetched, but how else can I put it? As This-Shirt has had Dead Fans Smiling with Grins! Ear-to-ear, for decades now… For close to 35-Years! This Chilly-Cool Rock & Roll G. Is just about near-extinct. One look at the photos… And you’ll see why! This Shirt was actually one of three colorful, cartooney, and whole-hearted Grateful Dead Tour Shirt Masterpieces! Was indeed answered with a little Grateful Dead’ Live’ Spring Tour’89 Rock & Roll Sunshine!!! What a Dead Shirt! – and really, one of the Best! From this so-creative Late-’80’s / Early-’90’s G. Take a nice-look at the photos… As the design details on this one, and just the pure-humor it radiates – is just something else? ! ? He’s Rockin’-away on the Electric-Guitar… Oops, I mean Electric-Broomstick! He’s got a Top Hat, with a Birdie perched on top… For a nose, Mirrored-Sunglasses for the Rays! I mean this-scene is down to one ball of Snow left, with even a few Buttons! And just check-out the Sunshine! Things are looking-up for Frosty here, and that is no joke… As just one glance at the’ back’ of this Shirt will tell you all the rest… Grateful Dead Spring Tour’89!!!!!! — and What A Tour!!! Reonegro landing a 10 out of 10! On this piece of Rock & Roll… Tag Size / Brand : Extra Large (X-Large / XL) – Shirt tag has been cleanly removed without any damage to the shirt material or seams – and the measurements correspond directly to a size Extra Large (XL) from this’ Prentiss’ shirt tag/brand from the Late-1980’s Grateful Dead Era. And, I myself was also fortunate enough to catch this Tour at the Incredible Gorge Amphitheatre – in George, WA! Could arguably be considered the Coolest! Venue on this’09 Dead Tour. As I can’t recall off the top of my head if they had tour stops at either Red Rocks? – or, The Greek?? Likely Red Rocks – but, I’d have to go hunting to see. And, this here Steal Your Face! Dead Tour Shirt – in White! – was clearly The! Just a tried & true G. Bright & Sunny on that Whole! Day – with the Allman Bros. Band also Rocking this Show… And even the Doobie Brothers too – who were also… Warren Haynes played the Axe for both The Dead & The Allmans on this run – and though I much preferred him with the Allmans… I most definitely tip my cap for some serious Rock & Roll stamina! This Show was something-else, for certain – and who even knew that all of us die-hard Dead Fan Faithful would be so-kindly treated to the ” Furthur ” Era later on in 2009. I couldn’t get enough of that Band… I mean talk about re-creating & even actually at times building! On that one-of-a-kind G. Because as we all were once taught at one time or another in our lives… ” No-one can’t do it quite-like The Grateful Dead “!!! This vintage Grateful Dead Grim Reaper Fall Tour t-shirt is a must-have for any rock and pop music enthusiast or fan of the Dead. The shirt features a unique single stitch design in grey color. The shirt is from 1988 and is a size medium, making it a great fit for a good range of people. I bought this shirt in-person in 1988 at the Capital Center Grateful Dead show as listed on the back of the shirt. It has been boxed since the 1990s and never been around smoke of any kind. Notes: Tag is faded but you can make out the “M” for medium. There are some stains as shown in pictures, along with a couple of very small holes also in pictures. Slight fading in armpits, but not too bad for a vintage piece. Happy to provide more photos if requested.
