Grateful Dead Shirt : Vintage Original (Genuine / Authentic) : 1993 : Summer Tour’93! – Summer’93 Tour Tee!!’93 Grateful Dead Merchandise, Inc. : X Large (XL) : Very-Rare!! – The River Diving Swimming Skeleton!!! Just like Bobby Weir once said during Lovelight Greek’86! Well Dead Fans, here indeed is The! (Official GDM) Grateful Dead Shirt made for the 1993 Summer Tour!!! Hard – to believe it is now over 30-Years-Ago!! ? !! But, totally true – Wow! And to me at least, the fantastic graphics on this one just say ” Summertime ” all over it. After all, there is nothing quite-like sporting some Lightning-Bolt Board shorts, turning your Cap backwards, grabbing your Beverage of choice! And just Diving Right In – Head First! And to boot, you can even lose your Wallet, Keys & Change too! During all of this excitement. Hey, even if the sign-posted does say No Swimmin’! Our fellow Deadhead Skeleton-friend has some mighty-nice diving form here too, wouldn’t you say? Look out Team U. One of the coolest, uniquest, rarest & even’ Gooniest’ Dead Shirts I ever saw during my touring days – agreed?? And even made’ Officially’ by GDM!! Well, on to more serious Dead-chat… This was indeed one-fine Tour in’93, in my opinion. I caught the 2 RFK shows, and was impressed with how truly-hearty the Boys looked – and how much they still had to give at the end of this quite-long’ 1st half’ of the heavily-toured 1993. I’ll never forget the bouncy Aiko, nor the solid China > Rider from these D. I also saw Shoreline & Expo prior, and was almost-certain those shows would be hard to top obviously… But I was pleasantly surprised indeed! 93 Expo, still obviously being Late-Legendary Live Grateful Dead! – for all of the various reasons you can hear on the tapes! The Band’s Triumphant-Return! To the one & only Mighty Autzen Stadium! Were the next Shows for me, and as we all know – Whoa! – did those shows ever speak for themselves. Though I may be in the minority, I personally feel that’93 was possibly the very best Grateful Dead overall… After Brent’s untimely passing after Summer Tour’90. They got back to the basics i. One Keyboard-Player , like the Grateful Dead should be. I liked Vince myself, and felt he definitely had both the chops & energy to carry the weight, and the load. Also, this was a little period of Jerry-resurgence, where he appeared really-happy, quite-healthy & clearly appeared to be taking nice care of himself. This, I first noticed at the’93 Mardi Gras run in Oakland in February – pretty exciting! So very sweet to see… So yep, here is ” The “’93 Summer G. Shirt – the Sweet Summertime… River-Diving Swimming Skeleton GDM Tour Tee!! Definitely one of the very coolest-designed G. Shirts on the’93 East Coast Summer Tour! Shirt — but remember… ” Early-’90’s ” G. As they just don’t make them quit-like’ This! & Best of Luck too with your Diving! – to find those Keys!! Grateful Dead Summer Tour’93!!!! Grateful Dead 1995 Spring Tour Shirt – created by Dan Morris! Too bad Dan didn’t make more Official Tour Shirts for the Band – seriously… And, if they would have kept touring past 1995 – he might have! But, on this one — wow did he hit the mark. In making a Grateful Dead Tour Shirt – just like we like’em! In the fashionable look. I mean here we have… A Dead Fan Skeleton playing the Bongos! But, one quick look at the photos, and you will see that this-one is way more than that! As this is a Spiral-Eyed! & Cigarette Smoking Skeleton with even a Fancy Cigarette Holder! – wearing a Top Hat with a Rose!! There weren’t too many Dead Shirts featuring’ Smoking’? ! ? The’89 Summer Tour ” Smoking Keyboard Skeleton ” Tee is the only one that I can even think of? You know, right off the top of my Dead Head!! And, just-like in the Good Ol’ Daze of the Grateful Dead Parking Lot! — this Rhythm Devil of a Skeleton has gathered some Fans fast! – a Spiral-Eyed Lizard & a Skull! – and even a Crescent Moon too! The scene here on this Dead Tour Tee! Oh & yeah too – as how could I almost forget… This is a Grateful Dead Steal Your Face! Brand pair of Bongos – with a Steal Your Face! In Red, White & Blue right on the front! Check-out the colorful & exquisite detail! All over the design on this Dan Morris Masterpiece… And some serious! Detail on the’ framed’ border. It’s almost Native American and/or Southwestern in the printed design… But, when you look inside – there are Skulls, Eyes, Peace Signs… And even Dancin’ Bears! In this brilliant pattern. And, look at the ” Grateful Dead ” font on the back! So different, unique & cool… Unlike any other, really. One of the most Unique & Coolest! With this one for Spring’95! And, as I’ve already said – but almost have to say again here… It’s just too bad that Dan Morris didn’t make more super-creative Shirts for the Dead! Be thankful for what you were lucky enough to get. A 1995 Tour Classic! – to say the very-least… Tag Size / Brand : Extra Large (X-Large / XL) / Fruit of the Loom 100% Cotton / Made in U. A Dead Man obsessed! Obviously by the Good Ol’ Pigpen-Era! Fashionable Sporting — Biker Boots! – a Leather Jacket! – Smoke in the Teeth! Just for the’Right’ Grateful Dead Fan!!!! So here’s one just a little bit on the Different, Rare! No Rick Griffin ” Crossbones ” here, or anything like this – but this one here looks like one Pigpen himself might choose to wear, if he was around to here in this new millennium! Just check out the no-messin’-around image on this one… And here you thought you didn’t think that you ever wanted to wear a Dead Shirt! ? ! Smokin’ Skeleton holding a Switchblade-like Knife, with a possessed-look – picking away at something? — and naturally, wearing a Leather Motorcycle Jacket, with a serious pair of Biker-type boots!! When I first saw this here black & white Classic! I couldn’t quite tell if it was Biker, Punk Rock, or even The Mods? But, I’m going with Biker – I think? Hey, you tell me. I just think that slick looking Motorcycle Jacket is a give-away, and if that isn’t how about those Boots!! I don’t know about the Knife & the Smoke, as I won’t go there. Almost looks like a Toni Iommi image from the Nassau Coliseum in’80 on the ” Heaven & Hell ” Tour! But wait, we’re talkin’ Grateful Dead. Just check out that ” Grateful Dead ” logo design!! ? !! That image looks totally killer too! I’m thinking that this one should probably be ridden & shown-off on the ” Right ” Harley – as when you think about it, how many just black & white Only! Grateful Dead tee’s do you ever really see! I guess in other words… I suppose this is the ” Tie-Dye ” Antidote! For the fan that still just loves their Grateful Dead!! – it’s in really nice-shape – so whether or not you want to cut the sleeves-off & go sleeveless, is entirely up to you. Careful though, as to never quite-know what a vintage-tee like This! Might be worth in the Future when it is an old & grey Good Ol’ Friend!! This is a Lightly Barely!
