As offered here is the David Opie designed ” Bertha Skull & Roses Evolution ” Classic!!! Without question, this is one of those ” Yep, I Need That One “… I’ll never forget the first time that I saw this Amazing! Design surface, as it was inside the pavilion at Shoreline!! And it was the guy sitting 1-Row between me & Bill Walton that was wearing it! ? ! Quite easy to remember that day, for all reasons obvious… But seriously, I was like – Whoa?? ! Where did you get that… And he was like – nowhere super special man, just at the Merch. You can imagine what it was like seeing this clever G. Beauty for the very 1st time… I mean check out the photos! It features a wonderfully creative 9-part segment inside a’ Grid’ that shows the Prehistoric > Modern Evolution of the Bertha! Skull & Roses itself! And as far as I’m concerned… It’s a True Story! I mean it’s all Black & White in this scene too – until Bertha arrives Evolves! Wearing a Blue Ribbon with Red Roses in her Hair! Written in what looks like kind of a Bone-like font… And on the back side… The’ Complete’ Evolution of the Bertha Skeleton! Evolving into what looks like Dancin’ at a Dead Show!! Well, that seems to me to just be about right! Possibly during a mean & nasty China > Rider!!! I mean check it out, as this is a full-on 4-legged to 2-legged Evolution here – obviously going Way-Back! You bet — What A Long Strange trip It’s Been!!! And above, a Very-Cool! Skull & Rose design with a Blue 13-point Bolt! Wow, I wish we’d seen more of this design on stickers, tape covers & what have you – back in the day. David Opie is credited for this Amazingly clever design, with 1993 GDM, Inc. And last but definitely not least… Grateful Dead Shirt, and you’ll have a new G. Fashion Best Friend for certain.
